Why do I need GAS Safety Check every two years?
We’re here to help you keep your property safe and give you peace of mind. Your property is required to have a gas safety check every two years.
According to the Residential Tenancies Regulations 2021, gas appliances must be checked by a licensed gasfitter to ensure that they are safe and in good working condition. This includes gas heaters, ovens, stovetops, and other gas appliances.
The gasfitter will inspect the appliances, check for any leaks or damage, and provide you with a certificate of compliance once the inspection is complete. It is crucial to adhere to these regulations to ensure the safety of your property and tenants.
What is included in my gas safety check?
Our team of Trained Technicians are perform Gas Safety Checks and are carried out in accordance with the Residential Tenancy Act 2021, AS56011 and AS4575.
Your property’s bi-annual Smoke Alarm Safety Check by Eze Compliance Australia will include:
- Pressure retention test of the main gas line into the property (test of gas tightness)
- Gas heater combustion spillage test (carbon monoxide check) – for all relevant gas appliances
- Checking of all gas valves, appliances and cylinders are installed correctly and safe
- Testing gas installations for leakage
- Servicing of gas appliances in accordance with Residential Tenancy Regulations
- Comprehensive service report
Minor defects identified will be rectified immediately. An obligation-free quote will be supplied for any substantial defects.
