WHY DO I NEED A BLIND SAFETY CHECK?
Blind cord safety is an important aspect of ensuring the safety and well-being of young children and pets in the home. According to Australian standards, it is mandatory to secure and maintain blind cords to prevent any potential accidents. Our team of experts can ensure that the blinds installed in your property are safe and secure, preventing potential future accidents with tenants who have young children or pets.
Since 2022 in Victoria, each window in a room at the rented premises that is likely to be used as a bedroom or as a living area is to be fitted with a curtain or blind that can be opened or closed by the renter, in order to reasonably block light and provide reasonable privacy to the renter.
What is included in my blind safety check?
Our team of Trained Technicians are qualified to perform checks, ensuring Australian safety standards are met.
Your property’s Blind Safety check by Eze Compliance Australia will include:
- All window covers inspected
- Window clips (cleats) for corded window coverings installed where required at no additional charge
- Window compliance tag per window clip
- Excess or non-compliant cords removed or secured
- No additional fee for cord maintenance – able to quote and fit any new window coverings
Minor defects identified will be rectified immediately. An obligation-free quote will be supplied for any substantial defects.
